LAMB OF GOD: New Song Posted Online

June 30, 2004

A pre-production recording of a new LAMB OF GOD song, entitled "Laid to Rest", has been posted online at this location (Windows Media format).

A re-recorded version of "Laid to Rest" will be included on the group's upcoming album, "Ashes of the Wake", due on August 31 through Epic Records.

The follow-up to 2003's "As the Palaces Burn", "Ashes of the Wake" was produced by Machine and includes guest appearances by former MEGADETH guitarist Chris Poland and ex-TESTAMENT axeman Alex Skolnick.

Drummer Chris Adler recently commented on the album: "It's been a giant sonic puzzle and as Willie, Mark, John and Randy have layered onto the basic drum mix — you can feel the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. It's like feeling the ground as a train approaches, you can tell how massive it is — and its coming fast. It's surreal at times — I think everyone involved knows we have a monster on our hands."
